MMG, Azoff Build Treehouse Records: Morris Management Group's Dale Morris, Clint Higham and Mike Betterton are partnering with Front Line Management and TicketMaster CEO Irving Azoff to launch the new Nashville-based label, Treehouse Records. The imprint's first artist is Blaine Larsen, who has been managed by MMG the past five years.
Talk of an in-house MMG label began earlier this spring when Azoff's Front Line Management acquired Morris Management Group. "We have been managing Blaine for the past five years and are honored to give him the freedom to make the record he's all about," said MMG's Higham. "Our new partnership with Irving gives us the freedom to move swiftly and creatively and we are thrilled to be bringing Blaine's music back to Country Radio and the fans."
Larsen will embark on a radio tour today (6/15) in support of a new single that will be released later this summer. He scored a Top 20 hit on BNA with "How Do You Get That Lonely" in 2005 and a Top 25 a year later with "I Don't Know What She Said."
