Share Jordan: Former Columbia SW regional Jordan Pettit, who left the Sony BMG imprint June 6, has been hired by Universal Republic to handle promotion for the Eli Young Band, whose music is also being promoted by Universal South. Though not officially joining Universal South at this time, Pettit will also cover the Northeast & Midwest regional duties previously handled by Chuck Swaney, who has resigned the post he took in February, 2006. "It is time for a change," says Swaney, who happens to be recovering from knee surgery and expects to take a few weeks to focus on rehab before making his next move. He can be reached at 248-486-6122 or here.
Pettit, who starts next Monday (7/14), can be reached at 615-259-5383 or here. Also starting at Universal South Monday will be former Curb rep Karen McGuire (CAT 5/22), giving VP/Promotion Teddi Bonadies a full complement of regionals for the first time in several weeks.
