» Candy + Potter Exit KMPS:
CBS Radio's KMPS/Seattle morning team Candy + Potter have exited.
The matrimonially and professionally linked duo joined the station more than a year ago (CAT 3/16/2010) and had formerly been at Talk/Hot AC WLNK/Charlotte.
The news was posted on the couple's blog, with Candy noting, "For those looking for gossip, I wish there was some crazy hair-pulling moment where where I body-slammed a 'suit,' but unfortunately there wasn’t.
Feel free to start the rumor and make me 10-pounds thinner when you tell it." No word from the station on plans for a replacement in mornings. |
» Alter Bridge:
W.A.R.
Nat'l.
Dir./Promotion Chad Schultz has been named Nat'l.
Dir./Radio Interactive Marketing for Warner Music Nashville.
The newly created position is "unique for this town," according to WMN SVP/Promotion Chris Stacey.
"Chad is uniquely positioned for the role, too.
He's an expert promotion guy and spent time in the tech startup world.
He'll act as a bridge between our promotion efforts and the new media, web and social aspects of our radio partners – any extension of radio beyond the broadcast signal and, in some cases, even promotions on the signal." Schultz will continue in his current role until his successor at W.A.R.
is named, which means VP Chris Palmer has issued an all-points gig alert.
