Kage To KUBL
Former iHeartMedia KWBL/Denver PD John E Kage has joined Cumulus KUBL/ Salt Lake City as PD, succeeding Travis Daily, who was recently named PD for sisters WKDF & WSM-FM/Nashville (CAT 4/1). Kage departed KWBL in March (CAT 3/20). Prior stops include Country KYGO/Denver and Top 40 WPOI/Tampa. Cumulus/Salt Lake City OM Chris Hoffman says, "John’s passion for country music and love of the Mountain West lifestyle make him a perfect fit for Utah.”
Empire Promotes Vassar, Gerlecz; Adds Galluzzi
Empire/Nashville VP Heather Vassar has been promoted to SVP/Operations for the independent label/publisher/distributor. Concurrently, Sarah Beth Gerlecz has been upped to Dir./Business & Legal Affairs, and UMGN Mgr./A&R Hannah Galluzzi has been hired as Dir./A&R. Empire has partnered with Magnolia for radio promotion of Shaboozey's "Bar Song (Tipsy)." The company also works with artists including Chase Bryant, Randy Houser, Don Louis, Reyna Roberts and Sophia Scott.
